The Human Side of Change
Most business books and articles - and academics and consultants - that deal with change focus only on the success stories. But they fail to take into account that change:
  • carries huge risk - many firms collapse during change, or get swallowed up in the confusion that typically follows
  • is far messier than simplistic models for managing it imply
  • encompasses more than slogans, meetings, incentives, investments
  • to many means yet again hearing 'do more with less'

This report is about the emotional intensity of change, and how to manage the fear, apprehension and turmoil it brings.
